Yes, i know that diplomatic rps are often approached with extreme caution, even a form of disdain. I ask that you keep an open mind as you read this proposal, if only to show that you're not ignorant.
This will be a Civilization-esque Diplomatic Roleplay starting at the beginning of the Iron Age and hopefully continuing on til beyond the age that the real world is currently in- hopefully, it'll end in a futuristic setting. The World will be a pangea-like great continent, with a few smaller islands just large enough to be nations- if necessary, i will draw up a map of the world.
Players will create their own nations, cultures, architecture, government system (most nations will change governments before the roleplay is even half gone) and, if they so desire, their own religion.
This roleplay is a diplomatic roleplay. Yes, war will occur, and probably more often than not, but overtly aggressive players with no real desire for diplomacy, negotiation, or alliances and etc, will either be destroyed or removed from the roleplay.
Though this game is based on the larger world, countries, governments and such, important people in your nation- Rebel Leaders, Civil Rights Activists, Leaders, Generals- anyone that plays a majorly major role in your civilization- will probably appear as an actual person more than once. Negotiations between leaders or UN-esque meetings will actually be roleplayed out as the characters. Military Conflicts, such as battles, attacks, and etc, will be hard to figure out, but i think if everyone's willing to cooperate (translation: everyone's willing to lose occasionally without shitfitting) that this should be completely workable.
Please, give this roleplay a chance. It's a larger, deeper depth roleplay, so you most likely won't have to post every other day.
Addendum: There will be pre-planned events in history that i myself come up with- be they natural disasters, new religions surfacing, or -gasp- a barbarian invasion similar to the Huns.
