Hmmm, that's a wonderful answer, Clipse. I would be tempted to say a "Moth" is a better one, though. (An inspired one, admittedly. ;D)
Icarus flew to the sun and inadvertantly to his doom. Moths are attracted to bright light, often to their own dooms. And, like butterflies, they emerge from cocoons before being able to fly.

Yeah I was thinking along those lines as well. The story of Icarus came to mind too.
