The year is 2376. For many years, humanity has been exploring the far reaches of space. Technology is booming. Colonization of new worlds is reaching a stage where it can be very profitable. Indeed, things are looking good for humanity.
But it isn't without a price. Not everyone enjoys the high standard of living that many enjoy. And colonization of new worlds never usually did go very smoothly. Unfortunately for the few alien species that have been encountered, humans were often less than friendly. Many races were subjugated due to humanity's superior numbers. To others in the galaxy, most humans are seen as a kind of intergalactic bully. While this is not true for all humans, it is on an official level and to some, thats all that really matters.
Enter your crew, a small scale salvo operation. Often operating on the fringes of human controlled space, where opinions of humanity are not very high. But its your lucky day today, because floating in a field of debris just up ahead is one of those massive super freighters, perfect for salvaging. Even better, while it appears to be abandoned it also appears to be intact, for the most part. It would take a thorough scan to know just what the damage was, however a score like this is potentially worth millions. All you need to do is make some repairs...

This is simply because some things (such as her skeletal structure, for example) are made with different compounds fused together with actual bone. -Clothing- When she isn't working, Helen often wears a forest green tank top with a pair of jeans or slacks. Not that she would, this is just an example.) Weapon(s): If combat is a necessity, Helen prefers close quarter weapons, like shotguns. She is also fully capable of simply using her fists as well, due to her enhanced strength. Her preferred weapon is the R-80 Semi Automatic Thrasher Shotgun, pictured above. Advantages/Disadvantages: -Passive Android Abilities- Helen was a revolutionary design in android technology. Because she was created as an Infiltrator model, she was made to be human in as many ways as possible, and as such several of her processes are made to mimic those of humans. Her internal systems can process food, she can mimic the action of breathing. Because of the way these systems operate, they are necessary for her to sustain activity. She can however do without them for extended periods of time, far longer than an average human. This is particularly useful when it comes to breathing, as she can enter a vaccuum without any equipment and remain there for an extended period of time with no loss of functionality. Helen is also much stronger than your average human, due to the fact that her bone and muscle structures are altered to make it so. This comes in handy for labor duties, such as lifting, throwing, etc. It also comes in handy during melee or unarmed combat. A fist fight with her is ill advised. Finally, Helen has a higher perception than your average human, particularly her hearing and sight. -Hacking- Electronic locks? Encrypted messages? Password guessing? Helen was built with a micro computer somewhere inside of her body that is able to process electronic information at twice the speed of today's supercomputers. She makes short work of most jobs that involve decrypting, hacking, etc. -Pilot- Helen always felt she had a natural ability to fly ships. She is particularly skilled with smaller ships, anywhere from a shuttle to a small frigate. Her skills decline steadily if the ship is any larger than that. -Electronic Vulnerabilities- Being an android comes at the cost of being naturally vulnerable to certain threats much more so than a human would be. In fact, some things that are harmless to a human can be outright lethal to Helen. A major example of this would be an EMP pulse, which, if powerful enough, could very well wipe her memory clean. A lesser pulse could easily temporarily disable her. Helen is also potentially vulnerable to hack attempts and could theoretically turn on her allies of such a thing was to occur. Personality: Everything has a purpose. Everything has a function. This is something that Helen believes, partially due to it being drilled into her again and again. Though she has the looks of a fully matured human, Helen's views of the world are sometimes comparable to those of a child. She has remarkably little understanding of the way many things work, aside from most technology. Concepts like politics, religion, or philosophy are baffling, utterly confusing to her. Her sense of self can sometimes become muddled and confused as well. She does make an effort to function and appear as what she perceives as normal, and is successful sometimes, however. Background History: Helen, like any other of her kind, was manufactured. She herself was created five years ago under a military contract that had been awarded to Synth Tech, one of the few corporations that specialized in creating synthetic beings. Immediately from "birth," Helen was trained for purposes of being a pilot, which was odd, considering what her model was designed for. It was hardly a year before she broke free however, although broke free isn't accurate. The android had never had a full grasp of understanding its situation, and so she merely wandered away, confused, and apparently lucky. She was eventually found by a woman by the name of Chloe Hayes, who she later found out to be an ex-member of human military forces. Chloe, as Helen understood it, had differences of opinion with some of the policies of the UEDF that concerned aliens, and had been discharged for voicing her opinions one too many times. Interestingly enough, Chloe usually never regards Helen as anything more than equipment. Highly useful equipment, but equipment nonetheless. The android never seemed to have a problem with this. Reasons for this were mostly likely due to her age. With so little time to develop a sense of identity it was very simple for Helen to just believe what she was told.

Background history: Raised in a struggling fishing village, Jamal had little understanding of wealth and material objects. He grew up in a society that view efficiency and a proper allocation of resources as the method to survival, so the prospect of being rich or powerful is not as popular to him as others. His family was also of religious stock, but the increased corruption of the local Imam as well as political conflict with the Priest of a nearby settlement caused Jamal to shun the practices of any religion at an early age. Jamal was a firm believer in the concept that religion should be a spiritual bond between oneself and God, needing no median to guide him in his path. At the age of 18, Jamal signed up to the local Naval Academy in hopes of escaping the hardships of his life. The Unifed Earth Defense Forces were no utopian society either. They increasing subjugated peaceful alien races and brutally crushed rebellions and possible disorder. There, he met Chloe Hayes, who shared a similar dislike towards the governments malpractices. However, the troubles of his home followed him there, when he received news of religious bloodshed which had seized the lives of his entire family. Devastated by the loss and sickened by the humanocentric policies of the military, Jamal dropped out of the Academy after two years to purse his own career across the stars. With no college or university degree, and only a grade 12 education, Jamal is still a smart individual. Having lived in a ghetto for the majority of his life, he has a large understanding of surviving in dangerous conditions. A tall, light-brown skinned figure, Jamal can easily fit within any crowd of the now multi-cultural populations of Earth. Though trained to be a soldier and to kill, Jamal wishes nothing more then to peacefully settle down and to do the most humblest of occupations; farm. Jamal's first language would be Arabic, which he can speak, read, and write flawlessly. However, when conducting business or other related matters, he uses English, which he can speak very fluently in and without any hint of his accent or background.

She is in decent shape, and has a light body type for her height. -Clothing- Chloe's casual attire usually consists of a pair of nice jeans and a t shirt, or perhaps a buttoned up shirt. She will wear tank tops in unusually warm conditions. Weapon(s): Chloe has a preference for compact weapons, such as SMGs. She usually brings along her R12 (pictured below), a compact weapon fit with a laser sight, built in silencer, and foregrip, provided there is a need to bring a weapon at all. Advantages/Disadvantages:-Charismatic- Chloe is often able to avoid confrontation by talking her way out of it, if possible. While not what some would call a silver tongue, she is usually more persuasive than your average person. This of course applies to several uses, anywhere from bartering to hike prices up on whatever they might be selling in terms of salvage. She is also better able to negotiate for higher earnings on jobs than her crewmates might be. Finally, her charisma puts her in a natural leadership role. While not in charge in any official capacity, she will take charge more often than not. -First Aid- Chloe has more first aid knowledge that the average person. While she isn't a doctor by any means, she has the knowledge and ability to temporarily patch up or alleviate injuries and wounds. It helps of course that being squeamish is not an issue for her. The sight of blood just doesn't phase her very much. -Drug Addiction- Being the ranking medical officer on the ship does have benefits, though sometimes what seems like a benefit can lead to disaster. Chloe developed an addiction shortly after turning to salvage work. She became hooked on a special type of amphetamine called Desoxyrall which, taken in certain doses, increases its users ability to focus tenfold, as well as steadying nerves and increasing energy and alertness. Like any drug there is a downside, however. When she gets a consistent dose she has no trouble, but when she is off of the drug for long enough, Chloe begins to lose concentration, becomes far less alert to her surroundings, suffers from fatigue, and often loses acute nerve control, which is usually manifested in by shakiness/unsteadyness, often in her hands. Personality: Chloe is usually a very relaxed, friendly person, easy to get along with. That isn't to say she doesn't have a temper, however, and it can flare up from time to time, particularly when she is woken from a deep sleep. She isn't quite as open minded as her Naval Academy friend Jamal, but she tries to be whenever possible. If there was one person she didn't get along with, it would likely be Helen, but that seems to be more one sided than anything else. Helen never seems to mind her company. However, if Chloe is in withdrawal, things are completely different. She becomes irritable, difficult to get along with, and rude. Its very rare that the crew sees her like this, as she keeps herself in check with her vice when she feels she needs to. She hides her use well, but may become especially paranoid or irritable if someone seemed close to finding out. Background: Chloe grew up in the urbanized northeast United States, and was raised exactly how one would expect who came from such an environment. It wasn't an easy life, even being lower-middle class. Her family wasn't poor, but they weren't wealthy by any means either. Often times she felt like one of the many, nothing more. But eventually, she found out she had a gift. She talked, and people listened to what she had to say. She may not have been the smartest, or the toughest, or the fastest, but she was easily the most persuasive person that she knew. She used this talent wherever she could - in writing, in speech, at home, and out in the world. Eventually, her leadership talent caught the notice of the UEDF Naval Academy. She became a student there at the age of 19, where she was exposed to many interstellar policies that before this point in her life, she didn't know nor care about. For the most part, she didn't like what she heard, and when her friend Jamal eventually left due to his disagreements, she left with him, eventually convincing him to work with her in the semi-lucrative business of salvaging and reclamation.

Appearance: Trace looks like your average Caucasian. He has an athletic build, and a cross scar around the bottom right of his cheek. He has brown eyes, and is usually all serious like, no matter what the situation is. -Clothing- He normally wears a black bomber jacket, a red shirt, black pants, and brown boots when not on duty. He doesn't wear anything to fancy when he's off duty. -Armor- He wears a custom made armor; that come with built in cloaking field. The armor is actually more like stealth suit, however it has is reinforced with platted Ceranium. The color scheme crimson and black, and covers most of his body, as well as comes with a mask. The gloves and boots are made of special fabrics that reflect light so that the cloaking works perfectly. It is light weight, designed for stealth operations, rather than heavy combat. The perfect suit designed for those pesky in and out operations. The cloaking also comes with its own anti-infrared sensors; meaning it can hide heat-signatures.
Weapon(s): Experimental Dual Myrmidon Blades: Basically these are butterfly trench knives designed especially for close to mid-range combat. The knives were made of denser alloys, so they can cut through plated armor; but not fully plated. The blades can become triple-bladed as well, and produce a twelve foot long chain, which can be used to shred people up close, or impale form afar. They can also propel its user towards the target, or reel them in; if they weigh less that 150 lbs; but if used together, they can lift someone who is about 300 lbs. If the blade or chain's break, the weapons have nano-paste repair systems, that regenerate them over time; meaning these weapons can never truly be broken. As of now, they are still incomplete, and still lack two important upgrades for combat, but they are at least at 90% combat effective.
M4A4 Pistol: Trace's choice of sidearm for his mission. Comes equipped with its very own laser sight and flashlight combo. Its designed for those pesky little gun fights, in case his knives aren't just gonna cut it. Comes with magnum slug round; as they are designed to pierce through plated armor; but not full-plated.
Throwing Knives: Trace carries a hand full, if not, a belt full of these playful little throwing knives. They work wonders for those "take downs" without so much as a noise. Each knife is light weight, sharp, and compact. Trace never leaves his room without having some sort of blade on him.
Abilities: Full Stealth Capability: Trace is trained in the art of being like that of a ninja; hiding the shadows, keeping quiet, and being able take down targets without so much as causing a commotion. That being said, it doesn't hurt that his suit also can cloak him very well.
Knife Play: Those knives he has aren't for show. He can use them very effectively. Pity comes to those who underestimate his skills with those short blades, especially since they can be used for mid range tactics.
Marksman: Trace is good with small firearms. Anything that's a pistol or a Rifle, he can use to great precision.
Advantages/Disadvantages:
Coordination: Trace is coordinated both militaristic wise and strategic wise. He always assets his situation and thinks ahead, before trying anything stupid. As one said, its better to run and fight another day.
Over-protective: Sadly, Trace is also very cautious, sometimes keeping his friends from doing anything reckless, he will march in the line of fire first to protect them, and make sure they stay safe.
Outstanding Features: Sadly... Trace's outstanding feature, happens to be his nose. It is very sensitive to touch, as well as being poked. Many would call it, his "fun" button. Especially when girls just do nothing but assault it, to his horror sadly.
Personality: Trace is mostly serious when he's on a mission or on duty, other than that, be becomes very lax, being friendly to everyone. He has somewhat of flirting side to him, but he doesn't like to show it, unless a girl has really peaked his interest.
Background history: Born in the Lunar base, Solaris, Trace has had a very sheltered life; because there is no such thing as inequality there. Everyone is treated the same and such. Yet, Trace learned the hard way, when he joined the Military. He saw how others would be treated unfairly, because they couldn't complete the tasks at hand, or how some would be punished severely for disobeying a simple order. It was one of these punishments, that earned him his scar on his cheek. He spent most of his time home-schooled, but has reached the peak where one would say he has passed high school, and would be a sophomore in college. That being said, Trace showed quite a bit of talent. What he lacked in field combat, he excelled in covert operations. Stealth was something Trace always was good at; because he always managed to find a way to sneak out of his private classes at home. He spent a year and a half honing his skills, and was easily promoted as a Captain of his own squad. As a reward for his efforts as well, some hot-shot scientist; who happened to be his closest friend, designed him the Myrmidon Blades; since Trace was more of a up close and personal person than anything else. Though all good things come to an end, when Trace was sent on a "Suicidal" mission; without even knowing it. The higher ups viewed someone as Trace as a "variable" they didn't need. And so, they sent a "clean up" squad to take care of Trace and his men. Alas, Trace managed to escape the entire ordeal, as well as with knowledge of this so called "Organization" that supposedly funds the military. With that, Trace was considered to be a KIA, but is hunted secretly by many.

-Mechanical & Physical engineer. She is qualified to repair and maintain countless classes of ships and subsystems, has a keen knowledge and natural talent in physical engineering fields, giving her a lucky shoe-in when she nervously applied as the Chief Engineer for the Salvo Group despite her race and any tensions caused by it.
-She's quietly confident in what she does. Polite, soft-spoken and good humored with her friends. She has a disarming size for one of her race, easily seen as a runt of a Ctarl litter, though her power isn't lacking. She's efficient when pushed and takes orders well. Martially trained and very level-headed for one of her race.
-Super-Human Strength: Easily able to left up to 750lb. one-handed, and up to 2600lb. with both hands and concentration, though she can supress the strength freely, tapping into the power in times of want or need.
-Ctarl Racial Damage-Resistance: Centuries of perfections in breed and environmental hardening have shaped her species into extremely durable creatures, leading many humans to the belief that Ctarl-Ctarl are immortal and indestructible. She'll take negligible damage from any mundane weapon or low caliber firearm. Energy weapons have little effect on her physiologically, though will hamper her functionability. I.E: Being hit with a lighting bolt of industrial tazer with stun and annoy her while it might be a mortal attack to a human. She is able to withstand extreme temperatures and corrosion, though she is hardly immune. enhanced and specially made weaponry/ammunition, and high caliber mundane firearms are still a very real threat, as well as high-force crushing and the effects of starvation, dehydration, and exsisting in a vacuum.
-Keen Senses: Lala enjoys boosted senses of smell and sight, and a very acute audio talent, which she has even bought neural augmentations for, to aid in her scouting and reconnaissance.
-Natural Weaponry: Ctarls are beastial fighters and develope their own martial art form to suit their favored tactics in a brawl, skirmish or all-out battle. Claws, Fangs, and, in her case, a limited prehensile tail. Her teeth and claws are very dense, as she resistances would suggest, the razor sharp edges ripping metals and alloys with relative ease.
-Primal Form: Lala can tranform into a ferociously powerful horse-sized big-cat, increasing her strength, agility and fortitude, also improving her natural weaponry considerably, all dependant on the number and prominence of lunar activity. She becomes terrifyingly fast in this form as well, able to keep in toe with a revving highend speeder-bike engine. She loses a portion of her sentience in the changing, equal in proportion to the bonuses from the lunar influence. Shhe is extremely dangerous whilst under the influence of this lunacy. She may only maintain the ravenous and deadly form so long, and is ravenously hungry and weakened after assuming her primal form.

-Selfconscious and reserved about her strength, avoiding conflict and hesitating to fight at all for fear of injuring an ally or friend or causing too much damage.
-Has a short attention span and has to use focusing techniques and supplements to do her job well. She becomes very random and cat-like when off her "medication". She's quite easy to distract. She's particularly fond of string, feathers, and a powdered spice mixture: [clove, genova garlic, white ghost chilis, purple habanero, chinese cinnimon, curry, wasabi, fishoil-smoked almond, and talc]
-She has a particular weakness to extreme cold, getting very sleepy, sluggish and disoriented after mere minutes of unprotected exposure, and getting frost bite in less than a day, which is miraculously fast for her species. Her natural resistances are also extremely hampered when operating under sub-zero conditions.
-As a result of her weakness she's terrified of Ice planets, blizzards, losing deepspace life support, and going to sleep in chilly places, as well as hypersleep. Also terrified of spiders and spiderlike creatures to a near-frenzying/paralyzing extent, sometimes both in varying ammounts.
-She has a very explosive temper and knows it, though keeps it lidded tightly with fear and anxiety. If one pushes her buttons enough, however, she will go off to spectacular.. and terrifying effect.

-Physical- Facial Features: Mackenzie has emerald green eyes, sharp and high cheekbones. From her many vigorous workouts, she has a lean, athletic body, and is stronger than she looks. She has a bit of a Russian twist to her features thanks to her Mom.
Outstanding Features: Her red hair and her tats that are at the back of her neck. When her hair is put up, you can clearly see the Japanese writing. Nobody knows what they mean, specifically because she hasn’t ever told anyone. There are five that end at the beginning of her spine.
-Clothing- Normally she wears whatever is comfortable. Not very picky if she’s just relaxing. Sweats, jeans, loose shirts, tank tops. -Armor- While on duty she wears her issued Banshee-class r-SSv5 Ghostsuit Armor. The translucent fiberoptic threaded material bends and refracts light around it, giving the wearer effective field camo even while powered down. The power fuction of the suit pumps filtered and ionized neon and rayon through the threads, giving the wearer a perfect chameleon effect, even powering a small white noise pulse-generator to scramble nearby comms and jam wireless uplinks or downloads. It also provides practical protection with fitted dense-alloy plating over the chest, upper & lower back, forearms, thighs, and shins.
WEAPON(S):
-Lyte-Rifle v5 MeDi-189 "Lady Stinger"- A lazerclass weapon firing condensed LZ plasmic light rounds in two modes: [tracksight mode]- basically fires a weak sighting lazer(still burns) and can send a bigger-pulse into anything the beam is touching, making it an effective mid-long range mode. [slag-fire mode]- a shortrange flurry of chopped lazer energy beams in a spray reminiscence of a ballistic machinegun. Requires a Quanthanium Tri-battery to operate the gun(1200 slagfire rounds or 150 tracksight shots per tribattery.
-VAREZCO KoronA Plazwhip- Another lazerclass weapon, this Maglight-sized handle produces a 7 foot length of semi-stasis plasma, giving it a whiplike appearance. Able to slash though many materials easily, though dangerous to leave running due to the micro-reactor in the extended handle overclocking after being switched on for more than 120 seconds.
-Colt Anaconda .44 Magnum- Mackenzie’s prized possession. An archaic ballistic gun with rare ammunition, though the effectiveness cannot be denied even by more advanced races. Higher-tech rounds of varying specs are avalable, but most undoubtedly damage the weapon when used.
PERSONALITY:
She has a very charming and attractive personality. She has to have one for her profession. She’s friendly and loyal, but short tempered and extremely stubborn. When irritated she’s gets very sarcastic and rude. She has trust issues because of her past, as well as the many men and women she has encountered in her life. Mackenzie is quite persuasive even manipulative when in a spiteful mood, able to use her charms to tilt situations in her favor when necessary or amusing. She’s learned that she will always have to work for what she wants when she fancies something. Mackenzie is also very assessive, and is extremely observant. If you didn’t know any better, you’d probably think she can read your mind.
ABILITIES:
Trained as an operative in the secret Psycho-Military Test Facility in the dark side of the moon, enrolled in the Spectre-5 Program to be trained as a psionic tool of war.
-Omnilinguistics- Skimming the surface thoughts of a being she looks in the eye or makes skin to skin contact with gives her the ability to speak, write, and understand any verbal and/or written form of communication.
-Siren's Call- Mackenzie takes pride in this little Jedi power. When charming or fast-talking someone, she’d reach out to that person's mind [or body if more convienient, simple flesh to flesh contact]subtly encouraging them to act in a manner which favors her own needs or will, or homing in on fears and insecuritiesto exploit. She can also manifest active control over hormone levels if she concentrates intensely [made -far- easier with physical contact and eye contact, using both stacks the effectiveness]. Makes it simple for her to mess with people when in the moods to do so, she’a able to enjoy doing so from a safe distance if she pushes herself to near her limit, though it is unbelievably taxing on her mind and body, but results are impressive with nearly a mile of reach.
-Martial Arts- She was taught Russo Shadowboxing by her mother and was highly trained in an adaptation of both Thai and Brazilian Jiujitsus as well as Muay Thai, Judo, and Tae Kwondo. Emphasizing the use of her elbows and knees in a close proximity encounter, the style focused on saving one's hands for more practical tasks and her suit's metallic plating corresponds to this training, thick metal on kneetops and capping elbows.

BACKGROUND: She was raised in Syracuse, a wealthier and higher area of New York. Her mother was an old Russian CIA Spy, and her father was the COO and CEO of a few companies and organizations. At age twelve, her mother had started to teach her how to protect herself, how to use certain gadgets. In the middle of practice with her mother, her father had got a call from an organization called 'PMC'. They Made a dire threat of some sort, which worried her father immensely. Three days later, the organization had tracked the family down and slaughtered everyone, Mackenzie barely escaping the terrible show of 'PMC' control. She managed to escape with nothing but her father’s Colt, her mother’s fieldwork bodysuit and the clothes on her back. Mackenzie decided before she did anything further in her life she’d pursue and expand the knowledge her mother had given her as well as become educated. She graduated from high-school, but after-wards, she dove right into her mother’s profession.
Now, Mackenzie is twenty three, and already the best of her kind. She still seeked revenge, and now that she was a lady, she researched and looked and kept looking. Being a people person, she forced herself to learn many languages, those being: French, Italian, Arabic, Spanish, Russian and German.
