Tekken, been playing since 2, currently on 6. Guilty Gear and all of its increasingly insane iterations. BlazBlue Shadows of the Colossus Anything from the SMT universe or its parallels (Nocturne, the Persona series, etc.) Chrono Trigger StarCraft Diablo 1 and 2. MGS series Planescape: Torment Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines Sacrifice The Assassin's Creed series Resident Evil, until RE:4 Some of the Final Fantasy games, though they've been going downhill. Let's hope XIII improves Devil May Cry series, except 2 and 4 Mortal Kombat, until they went 3D Street Fighter 2 Zone of the Enders 2 Neverwinter Nights
In fact, on the subject: I'm strangely addicted to Bioware games, even though they are all THE SAME GAME, often with the same characters. For example? The Carth - Fenthick Moss - Neverwinter Nights Carth Onasi - Knights of the Old Republic Atton (I forget the ladt name. Rann?) - Knights of the Old Republic 2 That Guy From Mass Effect; Not The Woman, Who Is Part Of Your Starting Team. Yeah, the half-psychic. - Mass Effect Alistair - Dragon Age: Origins
There is always The Carth; that guy you get, relatively early, who you will likely NEVER USE AGAIN. He's whiny, not very useful, and in all, you'd be happy if you never saw him again.
Yes, very off topic. But he's always there! In fact, I may make a rant topic about it later.
The game list goes on, but now I've gotten myself entirely off topic. So, it stops for now.

I like the wise-cracking whiners when they have uses. Alistair is useful, and I like his back 'n forth with Morrigan, it's priceless. Only Bioware game I don't like the wise-cracker/whiner is Baldur's Gate... Xan is phucking useless... -_-
But I agree that they all have that character, I just have an opposed opinion I guess. *shrug*

Admittedly, by my third character (I have a bad habit of making one, getting so far into the game, and starting over), I actually started to like Alistair; I stopped telling my tv to shut up whenever he spoke (Not you though, Carth! You will always need to shut up!). Playing as a "good guy" pretty much means you'll be going with him and...what's her name...the Not-French woman from Not-France, who isn't nearly as funny as Morrigan. Or Wynne. So yeah, his comments eventually won me over.

x.x Sorry i haven't been on lately... My bro is hogging the computer. I just go this to say. FFXIII has definitely made me see Final Fantasy in a new light. Seriously, the Paradigm Shift has DRASTICALLY changed the way you fight enemies. Forget the "you heal after every battle bs". The fights themselves are now considered BOSS fights. Seriously, normal enemies can WIPE you out in a couple of hits. And if you even FACE a boss enemy... dear god... your are in for a long fight. If you cant STAGGER them, you are in for a LONG fight. Bosses defenses are now INSANE. Sure you can do like 200-300 per hit, but know that bosses now have 10-50k of HP. So... unless you have half an hour to spare... STAGGER bosses.

I have had SC2 for a week now and haven't played it yet... I think I'm nervous that it won't live upto hype and that I'll become another disgruntled Blizzard customer.
That said, I really like the cut scenes that I saw while a friend was playing his copy... I shall break it in today or tomorrow.
... maybe.

Rock Band 3 is pretty fun, though i'm not completely sold yet. I still prefer RB2.
I am curious about DJ Hero, also... anyone play it before?

StarCraft 2 itself is great, but it's melee and UMS map types pale in comparison with the Cortex Roleplay maps. I've never been so impressed with a roleplay engine before.

So, i just finished Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood's story mode. It was insanely epicly awesome. Most developers would slack off if two of a series sold well, making the third shoddy, knowing people would buy it, but Ubisoft followed through on AC: Brotherhood. The gameplay as far as i could tell was flawless, the visuals beautiful and clear, the story deep and intriguing, and the ending was yet another Assassin's Creed cliffhanger. Frustrating yet oh so tantalizing. One simply cannot leave the series unfinished without having a gnawing feeling of curiosity stick with them forever. The characters have depth, and a serious gamer could even come to care for the characters in a way, hoping to see how they react to events, or just how they act. The multiplayer has it's flaws, yes, but only because it's a new addition to the series, and has yet to be polished. It's still massively entertaining, if a bit frustrating at times- see how composed you are when a man walks up behind you and slits your throat with a straight razor when you were only two steps away from your target. But, despite it's difficulty, it does make you laugh when a courtesan slits your throat with a fan. I mean, who wouldn't laugh in that situation?
I apologize for submitting a full-on review of the game, but i couldn't help it.
